St. Patrick’s day parade in Cork 2012
The weather was remarkably good this morning. The sun was shining, loads of people went out on the streets dressed in green, there were children eveywhere waving Irish flags, farmer’s market was up and running on Grand parade. I just love St.Patrick’s day! [...]
Germany – Czech Republic car trip 2011
That was an incredible road trip. We got a car in Munich, went to Prague for 2 days, returned to Germany and drove round for 4 days, stayed in small hotels and tried local food on the way. We ended up in Prien am Chiemsee in the end. Read more for all posts and photos from that trip. [...]
Prague from the Petřín Lookout Tower
Petřín Tower is very compact, and it’s pretty easy to take the stairs to the top and back . If the weather is clear you can see the whole Prague underneath. And the view is definitely worth it. Petřín Tower is famous for it’s resemblance with the Eiffel Tower, but it definitely has it's own character. [...]

I don’t have much of the photos from that trip left, but every time when look through the folder I try to find something for the post I remember how awesome that journey was. The weather was great, the car was fast, the food was tasty and towns we passed were different and beautiful in their own unique way. We should do it again!
And this is the cafe where we had that Apfelstrudel

This icecream you can buy in the brewery “U medvidku”. They have a huge restaurant nearby, their version of vepřové koleno is very tasty as well )
The icecream has a bitter taste, its covered with a whipped cream on top and they serve it in the beer stein. The taste is very unique, not something you would want every day probably, but definitely something to try at least once.

Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad) looks so much like a Soviet resort, it’s hard to realize that it’s actually in Europe. I think, there are more billboards in Russian than in English on the streets. Life is slow there non regarding the amounts of tourists. Streams of the mineral water are everywhere, just buy a special ceramic cup to drink hot water and you are sorted. It reminds me so much of Kislovodsk – the atmosphere, the park, the resort spirit – all there.
