St. Patrick’s day parade in Cork 2012
The weather was remarkably good this morning. The sun was shining, loads of people went out on the streets dressed in green, there were children eveywhere waving Irish flags, farmer’s market was up and running on Grand parade. I just love St.Patrick’s day! [...]
Germany – Czech Republic car trip 2011
That was an incredible road trip. We got a car in Munich, went to Prague for 2 days, returned to Germany and drove round for 4 days, stayed in small hotels and tried local food on the way. We ended up in Prien am Chiemsee in the end. Read more for all posts and photos from that trip. [...]
Prague from the Petřín Lookout Tower
Petřín Tower is very compact, and it’s pretty easy to take the stairs to the top and back . If the weather is clear you can see the whole Prague underneath. And the view is definitely worth it. Petřín Tower is famous for it’s resemblance with the Eiffel Tower, but it definitely has it's own character. [...]

It’s been a while since I posted photos of the breakfast here, so this time I got few tasty shots in “Amicus Paul street” on Saturday morning and wanted to share them with you. It’s hard to find a place to eat in the morning on the weekend (surprisingly). It is surprising, because to my opinion weekend is when people actually want to eat out in the morning. But looks like Amicus is one of the few places that open up early, on Saturday they open at 8.30 which is incredibly early for Cork standards ) Just to compare, Market … Continue reading
I was sorting out photos from the team outing (we hired a bus and went shooting to the place somewhere near Limerick) and wanted to post separately photos from “Louigi Malones” – a restaurant that we had dinner in. I passed by that restaurant a thousand times and didn’t think of going there, but it’s really worth it. It’s a little bit higher class than usual Irish restaurants, and the food is really interesting there. The taste is one thing, though it was really good, but the way they serve it – omg ) One of the guys ordered half … Continue reading
It’s been a while since i posted something tasty here, isn’t it? This is a very simple Irish breakfast I had in Kilmurvey b&b on aran islands. Other than that they served a very interesting thing – an oatmeal porridge with a shot (!) of whiskey! Yes, a real shot of whiskey that you can or mix with the porridge or use separately)
I noticed, that when I’m hungry in the morning I tend to post something about the food. Well, here you go ) It was a medium Irish breakfast in some small cafe on Academy street near H&M. Nothing special, but if you want something light it will do. Also they have an interesting way of serving butter, usually in cafes you get few small portions in foil, bu here they served it in a small ceramic jar.
This stew I got in the pub called “The front door” in Galway city center. The serving is not usual, since the potato mash was placed separately. Also it was the first stew I had that was served with a piece of pastry on top. It wasn’t that thick as the one from Aran islands, but still very tasty and even could be considered a light meal… Or not!
