St. Patrick’s day parade in Cork 2012
The weather was remarkably good this morning. The sun was shining, loads of people went out on the streets dressed in green, there were children eveywhere waving Irish flags, farmer’s market was up and running on Grand parade. I just love St.Patrick’s day! [...]-
Evening view over Paris from the Eiffel Tower
The timing was pretty extreme, we decided to climb the Eiffel tower the same day we arrived to Paris, and of course we didn’t buy the tickets in advance, so we almost missed a very beautiful sunset. But we made it! [...] -
Halloween in Cork: street fashion
Last night I took my camera for a walk to take pictures of the Halloween costumes and people partying around. There were so many crazy awesome costumes and wild makeups! I never realized that on Halloween streets of Cork turn into one huge party. [...] -
Germany – Czech Republic car trip 2011
That was an incredible road trip. We got a car in Munich, went to Prague for 2 days, returned to Germany and drove round for 4 days, stayed in small hotels and tried local food on the way. We ended up in Prien am Chiemsee in the end. Read more for all posts and photos from that trip. [...] -
Prague from the Petřín Lookout Tower
Petřín Tower is very compact, and it’s pretty easy to take the stairs to the top and back . If the weather is clear you can see the whole Prague underneath. And the view is definitely worth it. Petřín Tower is famous for it’s resemblance with the Eiffel Tower, but it definitely has it's own character. [...] -
Aran Islands
This time we spent 3 days on Inis Mór in Kilmurvey b&b, had the best Irish stew every day. Also walked to Dún Aonghasa in the evening and caught a beautiful sunset. There was no one on the cliffs in that time, the wind was strong and the waves were high as never. [...] -
Abandoned Cork
If you go up the Barrack street in direction of the Bandon road you will find yourself in the area of empty shops, closed bars, abandoned takeaways. You can see, that some time ago this area was full of life. [...] -

Aran islands on Instagram
It will be an big post where I wanted to gather in one place all Instagram photos that I took during my 4 days vacation on Aran Islands this October. I know that some of you will hate me (hey, Charles), but please bear with me ) I had a great time there and without a doubt will go there again. It was nice to spend more than two days on Inis Mór, I could see the whole island with no rush, watch the sunrise and the sunset from Dún Aonghasa, take photos of the waves and much more. Loved … Continue reading
Missing Aran Islands
I can’t wait for the vacation. It will be probably in August when I will take a week off, pack my bag and drive to Doolin (or Galway). I will take a ferry to Inis Mór, rent a bike, get to b&b and just relax without the phone, internet, work and everything related to that. Can’t say what I am looking for the most. Probably running in the early morning on the beach in the cold wind and maybe even rain. It will be unbelievably good. I will have a Guinness beef stew every day and an apple tart, I … Continue reading
Hidden shore
This is the place where I took the pictures of the waves that I posted before. It was a very small beach on the east-north (?) shore, the tide was low and you can see the ocean bottom the way it is. Sometimes the waves were that strong that reached the place where I was standing taking those photos – that was a real fun ) Far on the horizon you can see the main land – it’s Connemara, another place I definitely want to go.
More sunset pictures
I took a lot of pictures of the sunset on Aran islands. The sky was changing so fast, that I wanted to capture it all. I wish the wind was not that strong though, I wanted to try the tripod but it was not really possible. You can find more pictures from that Aran islands vacation here.
Heritage office on Aran islands
It took me some time to get this picture. It was after we climbed down from Dún Aonghasa and stopped by the heritage office at the bottom of the hill. I wanted to use the filter that makes stars of all sources of light in the picture, and I used the slow exposure. You can see the moon, it was about the same time I took these pictures of it. Also you can see a cat! He is sitting on the doorstep, he was very friendly, totally white with the black back – a hostess in our b&b said, that … Continue reading
