The day after St.Patrick’s day, 18th of March

I still have some photos left from St.Patrick’s day in Cork, so I will continue posting them.

18th of March happened to be Sunday, so the celebration continued. St.Patrick’s street was still blocked, but instead of a parade the carriageway served as a market, where people could have a seat, grab something tasty to eat and listen to the musicians playing on a stage near the Merchant’s Quay.

I didn’t walk around a lot that day, but I definitely had to have a pot of strawberries in melted chocolate from a chocolate fountain! I just love holiday food )

How come there’s a big plastic shield around the chocolate fountain? :( Do they let you dip the food yourself?

Well, it-s not really for dipping – they sell plastic cups with chocolates or marshmallow and fill them up with melted chocolate upon order, and the plastic thing is to avoid ppl sticking their hands there I guess )
