Halloween in Cork: getting ready (better now than never)

I know, I should have posted it before Halloween. But every time I sat down to write a post I had a better idea and postponed these few photos I took.

It’s very easy to get ready for Halloween in Cork. All big stores like Dunnes, Penneys, Tesco, Atlantic homecare opened Halloween sections in the beginning of October. “2 euro” shops prepared something as well, so anyone could get a scary outfit or a premade bucket of candies non regarding the price. I saw witch hats for 2 euros and for 20 euros, the choice is up to you.

The candle shop in Tesco offered all kinds of candle holders and oil lamps in the pumpkin shape. You can also buy great candles there, they even sell Yankee candles:

Dunnes sold pretty awesome adult Dracula costumes, the cape was really cool:

And the candle holders (the bags on the floor) – they are really nice, i am thinking of getting one for myself tomorrow. The bag is made of metal, covered in glitter, must look great with a candle inside:

And this is a Hallmark shop on a side street near Oliver Plunkett, you could buy small Halloween goods there like horns or fake blood or glowing teeth:

haha nope ) It might be the same as the green beer on St.Patricks – you only drink it to tell everyone that you did it and secretly suffer the whole night after that.
