Aran Islands 2011

This time we spent 3 days on Inis Mór in Kilmurvey b&b, had the best Irish stew every day. Also walked to Dún Aonghasa in the evening and caught a beautiful sunset. There was no one on the cliffs in that time, the wind was strong and the waves were high as never. I got hundreds of pictures, a lot of ideas for the new posts, brought back good memories and good mood.

If you never been there, well… it’s hard to describe. Aran Islands is the place where sunset looks like this

      Someone once told me, that Irish stew is not really Irish without the barley ) I didn’t ask for the recipe, I want that stew to be a mystery. It’s really the best in the country. Once I made a vacation to explore different versions of the stew in different counties )

        Oh really? Neil and I used to have huge fights about whether there should be barley in Irish stews or not. He claims not (I guess he should know :p) … he makes a good one too actually!

          I should ask him) Ooor I should make Mark O’Riordan argue with him about that for me. That’s gonna be fun.

          I made a stew myself, I even bought a slowcooker for it. I am very sure that I did it totally wrong, but it was tasty. I used prunes there, they add a very nice taste.

      Yeah, you can see it in his work, he managed to capture the Irish spirit really well
