Jackie Lennox’s chip shop

Rating: ★★★★★

This is the reason why we were climbing the Bandon road. Jackie Lennox’s is located in the middle of nowhere which kinda proves that one day in the past it was a full of life street. It’s a fish and chips takeway, and well, it’s the best in Cork. I didn’t manage to take any good pictures of the food, but just trust me on that ) They wrap freshly made fish in multiple layers of paper, they don’t use plastic bags, and when you unwrap it the paper takes all the oil and leaves you a very very unhealthy but incredibly tasty meal.

Haha, I get a craving about once a year for fish and chips, like clockwork and spend some time making it or, if I’m in the UK, running out to buy some. It’s one of those things which I always want so badly and then regret it every time. The first few bites of a good serving of fish and chips are so good, but as time goes by you just start thinking “oh my God!”. I love it when the paper is just drenched in salt and vinegar though… oh yeah!

Heh)) its not easy to find good fish and chips though. What they serve in restaurants here is not really that traditional meal that u can get in takeaways. But some takeaways look really scary) so u need to find one that is not yet a restaurant but not a complete hole as well))
