Missing Paris…

I didn’t like Paris when I went there in summer 2009. I wanted to go there so much, that I totally didn’t think about crowds of tourists everywhere and excruciating heat and I was not ready for that. But the time passed, and I miss it, I feel, that I didn’t do what I wanted to do there, didn’t see what I wanted to see, didn’t take all the pictures I always wanted to take. So next spring I will take a week off and give it another try )

Fact: Paris in Summer totally sucks! WAY too many people. Winter/Spring is totally the best time to see it. Drinking hot chocolate while walking around the Parc des Buttes Chaumont with an icy cold camera is the only way to have it ;)

Now you are just teasing me ) How is the weather there in early March?
I thought of February, but I think it might be too cold yet.

Early march is a good time to come. Sunny, spring days, and nice chilly air which make going around taking photos enjoyable (instead of “omg, too sweaty and hot!), plus it still gets dark early which means you can get some good light/night shots without having to stay out until 1am :p

I would love to have a night tour in Paris, I am very sure there are a lot of tour agencies organizing something like that. Usually I don’t like organized tours, but well, walking alone at night might be not the best idea )

You want a walking tour? There are some places which do guided tours in the evening, walking, but if you’d prefer I can take you on a trip around by car – I haven’t been taking photos in Paris for ages so I’d something I’d definitely like to do myself. We can just decide on an itinerary of places to visit beforehand if you wanted. Much more comfortable than walking from place to place :D

The car trip would be so awesome! Its a great idea! ) Lets look into it closer to the date and make a route to see as much as possible! ) Hmmm now im thinking of taking my tripod which is too heavey to take on the walking trips, but if there is a car involved….. hmhmhmmm )

Awesome, as long as you don’t expect me to drive around the Etoile roundabout (lolz). Absolutely you can bring the tripod, or I have a spare camera attachment which screws into the camera and clips in and out of my tripod if you wanted to use mine instead!
