Fota wildlife park

Fota (Oileán Fhóta) is an island in Cork harbour, you can get there by train in 15 minutes from the Kent station. The island is not that small, there is a huge wildlife park where you can see animals and birds mostly without cages and borders. Only predators are being kept in cages, but this is not like in any other zoo – the cages are spacious, with a lot of grass and trees, also they are very clean. The entrance fee is €12 per person, so if you like it there it would make more sense to buy an annual membership for €110 for 2 people. After you pass the wildlife park you can get to the botanic garden to look at different trees and flowers depending on the time of the year.
It’s been a while since I was there, maybe it’s time to go again )
